Ingredient: beef hide (with fur)
***due to the nature of this product, rolls will vary in size, shape and color as well as the amount of fur***
These this rolls are thinner than the regular cow hide rolls. They are approximately 10-12" in length and are a great option for older dogs that are lighter chewers and dogs with less teeth.
Dogs love the unique texture of these hair-on, whole hide beef hide rolls! These all-natural, chemical-free chews tend to last long enough to be used over multiple chew sessions. The hair is rolled on the inside for a mess-free experience and your dog will have a blast “discovering” it as they chew. By leaving the hair on, the chews last longer while also cleaning up the entire digestive system. You won't find any industrial chemicals or additives in these hides. They are 100% natural beef hides sourced from local ranches in Wyoming, Utah and Idaho; no factory farms here! These hide rolls are an all natural, healthy chew/treat for dogs (a MUCH better alternative to rawhide, which is full of chemicals) because they contain fur and hide which are high in fiber for digestive health and stool structure.
There are NO chemicals or soaps used in the washing of the hides; just water at various pressures and angles for a long time to make sure the hides are left fresh and clean, ready to be transformed into chews. Once the hides are all clean, they are hand cut (using a knife!), then they are rolled and put out onto racks in the direct sunlight to dry. This step is super important in order to keep these chews additive and chemical free. In addition, studies have shown that direct exposure to the UV radiation in sunlight also kills bacteria. Each chew spends at least three days in direct sunlight, being rotated to make sure the entire chew is disinfected and dried. While this process is time-consuming, it allows them to create an all-natural chew without any chemicals, additives, or preservatives, while still providing a near infinite shelf-life to the final product.
DIRECTIONS
Dogs get a lot of benefits from chewing. It relaxes them and releases dopamine and serotonin, which are responsible for feelings of happiness, joy, and peace. Let your dog have the chew in 15-20 minute monitored chew sessions. One chew might last your dog multiple sessions, depending on how tough of a chewer your dog is, since these chews are thinner.
This will space out the dopamine and serotonin so your dog gets to feel good for longer, it makes the chew last longer because it re-hardens in between sessions, and it's safer for the dog.
SAFETY + STORAGE
Chewing should always be supervised with a set time to chew. Some dogs may tear large pieces free and try to swallow them whole. To prevent blockages, remove any ripped pieces that could be a choking hazard and throw out end pieces as soon as they are small enough for your dog to swallow them. If your dog is chowing down too fast to be safe, consider trying a larger size.
Store chews in a cool, dry place. These chews have no preservatives or disinfectants, so make sure there is good airflow (no plastic bags or containers) to avoid mold growth or moisture buildup. For long-term storage, hides can be frozen to keep them fresh.
Always consult your veterinarian with any questions or concerns about your dogs digestion or health.
